Passion for God, Compassion for People

Jesus said, "19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28: 19-20)

We at First Baptist Church of Beverly believe that we are called to do both ministry and mission in accordance with Jesus' message of love and caring for others.

We recognize that the purpose of our Mission is also to carry out another of God’s commandments “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12.)  We understand that one can’t just love your neighbors; you have to love God.  And you can’t truly love God; unless you love your neighbors.  Every man, woman and child, Christian and non-Christian, is precious in the eyes of God.  Because people are precious to God, they are precious to us and we regard all with dignity.
